What is DIN 41612 Connector?
DIN 41612 is a DIN standard for electrical connectors that are widely used in rack based electrical systems. Standar disation of the connectors is a pre-requisite for open systems, where users expect components from different suppliers to operate together. The most widely known use of DIN 41612 connectors is in the VMEbus system.
The DIN41612 has been widely accepted as a standard for a variety of interconnection applications in the telecommunications and data markets worldwide. The most widely known use of DIN 41612 connectors is in the VME bus system. 48 pin DIN connectors with three rows(a, b, c) of contacts on 0.100"(2.54mm) square grid are available in wire-wrap or solder tail type terminations.
Eurocard line is available in board-to-board, wire-to-board, ribbon cable-to-board, and high-current connectors. Our Eurocard connectors incorporate internationally accepted design advantages of DIN 41612 and IEC 60603-2 two-piece connectors in a quality design that provides high Signal Integrity (SI) and electrical performance. With a broad portfolio, it is easy to find the right connector type and style to fit your application. Common Bus Systems include STE Bus, CIMBUS, FUTUREBUS, VMEBus, MULTIBUS (II), NUBUS, VXi Bus, and VME 64X.
