DIN 41612 is a DIN standard for electrical connectors widely used in rack-based electrical systems. Standardization of these connectors is essential for open systems where components from different suppliers need to operate together. The most widely known application of DIN 41612 connectors is in the VME bus system. DIN 41612 connectors have been widely accepted as a standard for various interconnection applications in telecommunications and data markets worldwide. Available with three rows (a, b, c) of contacts on 0.100" (2.54mm) square grid, these connectors come in wire-wrap or solder tail type terminations.
