Solder Cup Type 9 15 25 37 Pin D-SUB Connector - Available in 9pin, 15pin, 25pin, and 37pin female D-SUB DB configurations designed for cable applications.

D-type connectors typically feature two or more parallel rows of connections within a D-format metal shell. This design provides mechanical strength and limited electromagnetic screening, with the metal shells of plug and socket making contact for enhanced protection.

Panel mounting connectors are secured using nuts with additional threading to prevent mating connectors from working loose. Free connectors can be equipped with backshells that provide either screening (connected to cable screen) or protection (plastic), along with strain relief for the cable.

For common connector types with two rows of pins (9, 15, 25, and 37 way), pins are spaced approximately 0.108 inch (2.74 mm) apart with rows spaced 0.112 inch (2.84 mm) apart. Higher pin counts and densities are achieved using additional rows of pins.
